"I really wanted to like MediaMonkey, and..."
I really wanted to like MediaMonkey, and for regular music files it’s mostly fine. But once I started adding stuff from my mixed library, some files either wouldn’t play right or needed extra fiddling, and at that point I’m just like… if I have to keep messing with it every time. It’s not terrible, just kind of hit or miss depending on what you’re trying to play.

"Decent app, but the menus could be clearer"
The app works okay overall, but I found the layout a little confusing to get around. The menus feel kind of messy, if that makes sense...

"Overall, the playback sounds clear..."
Overall, the playback sounds clear most of the time, which I really appreciate. That said, I did notice a few skips here and there, so it’s not perfect. Still decent, just a little frustrating when it happens

"I had a small issue and, i..."
I had a small issue and, i wasn’t sure how quickly they’d respond, but support got back to me fast and helped sort it out. So yeah, that was nice.

"I had this huge music library just kind..."
I had this huge music library just kind of sitting there in chaos, and now it actually feels organized, which is a relief. It’s not something I thought would feel that nice, but it does, in a weirdly satisfying way

"Pretty solid with tags most of the time"
I’ve been using MediaMonkey to clean up my music library, it did a better job than I expected. It even figured out tags for some older albums I thought would be a pain to sort through. There were still a few odd matches I had to go in and fix myself, but compared to doing everything manually, it saved me a ton of time. It’s not perfect, but for what I needed, it’s definitely good enough

"Still hasn’t crashed on me"
I’ve been using mediamonkey for years now, mostly for keeping my music library organized while I’m working or messing around at home, and it’s just been reliable. I’ve got a random mix of old albums, ripped CDs, and playlists I made forever ago, and it handles everything without giving me problems. It doesn’t crash on me, which is more than I can say for a lot of other software I’ve tried. Nothing flashy to complain about, it just works.

"Handles my huge music library really well"
I’ve got a huge music library, like tens of thousands of songs, and mediamonkey is one of the few players I’ve used that doesn’t completely fall apart trying to manage it. Scanning and searching are quick, and it doesn’t lock up every time I tweak tags or move stuff around.
It’s definitely not the slickest-looking app out there, but I really don’t mind. It just works, keeps everything organized, and has been seriously dependable for my big local collection

"Sync is useful, but I don’t fully trust it"
I mostly use MediaMonkey for syncing music to my phone, and when it actually does its job, it’s convenient. I like being able to manage my playlists and tags without too much fuss.
The problem is the sync feels a little unpredictable. Some tracks randomly don’t make it over, other times I end up with duplicates, and a few times it just froze until I unplugged my phone and started over. It kind of leaves me feeling passed around between the app, my phone, and the settings, trying to figure out where the issue is.
I wouldn’t say it’s bad, because I still use it, but I don’t really trust it to be hands-off. After every sync, I usually double-check things just to make sure nothing got skipped or messed up.
